Crowdfunding Myths: It’s Easy!

As much as I would like to tell you all that Crowdfunding is easy, it’s not. Raising the money you need to Fuel your project will take time, effort, and emotional energy. At some point you will be upset that more people have not contributed, and at some point you will be concerned that you wont reach your financial goal. But don’t worry, it happens to everyone. Use the emotion to push to the next level of success. Here’s the best advice I can offer:

1. Set an attainable financial goal. You can always over fund! Review difficulty levels at http://rockethub.org/page/difficulty-levels

2. Engage the “people you can count on” first. Those first contributions will give your project the credibility you need to build upon. Review http://rockethub.org/profiles/blogs/what-if-i-dont-have-1000-true-1

3. Keep pushing! As time marches on, make a new project video, add a new reward, blog, share, tweet and make sure that everyone you know knows what you are doing and knows how passionately you feel about your project. Show them that your heart is in it.
